Jukejoint's, primarily operated by African Americans, were informal establishments [particularly in the South Eastern United States] used to unwind with live music, dancing, gambling and drinking. Plantation workers and sharecroppers, banned from most white establishments, looked forward to relaxing and socialization after a hard work week. I tried to capture the ebb and flow of jukejoint's in this song. Stars off slow and builds up to a driving rock n roll beat.
